Custom Made Jewelry Each piece of couture jewels is hand designed, hand pieced and hand assembled at my studio in albuquerque, New Mexico. Each piece is unique and there are no two alike. My designs reflect seasonal fashion trends and are crafted to accessorize contemporary and classic wardrobes. I am a trained metalsmith and incorporate professional jewelry techniques into my jewelry art. All designs are carefully crafted and, upon completion, carefully inspected to assure high quality standards.

The Finest Materials Prior to each season I take a look at the stones available in the market. I only buy the best stones and utilize the highest quality materials. I carefully select imported semi-precious stones and pick them based on the 4 c’s (clarity, color, cut and carat). When I use precious gems I also add a 5th “C” to my choice - certificate. This assures a stones authenticity and guarantees the buyer a genuine stone.

Artist’s statement I’m Gillian Armour, a jewelry artist, fashion fan and creative! My collection of jewelry is updated seasonally and all pieces reflect current trends in fashion. With a background and education in fashion and design, I’m acutely aware of the connection between fashionable jewels and fashionable clothing.

Jewelry has been a passion of mine since childhood. My designs reflect the influence of the many places I have lived throughout the world. Other aspects of my life that inspire my work include an early exposure to flowers and plants from my father – a botanist! Additionally, his passion for gemstones and his gem collection became a source of ideas and knowledge when I decided to “get creative”. I used to love digging around in the pink sapphires and lilac amethysts of his! My mother also designed jewelry and one of the first pieces I remember her making was a necklace of hand blown glass beads.
